| Card Readers |
 |
you have bought your digital camera, you've taken some great photos and you want to view them on your computer. Well, most digital cameras can be plugged directly into a computer via USB cable. However, there is an alternative method which many photographers use which is an external card reader/writer.
These also plug into your computer and are available in a wide variety of types, sizes and colours. Unlike a digital camera, they can be left permanently plugged into your computer if you wish.
Benefits of a card reader
- Convenience, no more reaching behind your computer to fiddle with cables.
- Speed, available in Firewire and USB 2.0 types, high transfer speeds can be achieved.
- Compatibility, most cameras only take one kind of card, some readers can take all different types of memory card.
- Power, using a card reader saves your camera's power for taking photographs.
- Can be used to transfer small files between computers faster than with floppy disk.

| Photo Papers |
 |
Photographic paper is paper coated with light-sensitive chemicals, used for making photographic prints. (Photographic paper is not to be confused with so-called photo papers: specially coated papers for use in inkjet or laser printers to make digital prints.)
Photographic paper may be exposed to light in a controlled manner either by placing a negative in contact with the paper directly (contact printing) or by using an enlarger (enlarging) in order to create a latent image. It may also be used directly to produce a negative image in some types of cameras, including pinhole cameras. Photographic papers are subsequently developed using wet chemicals to create a visible image.

| REMOTE CONTROL |
 |
This Infrared Remote Control lets you control the shutter release of specific Nikon DSLR models from a distance. It is ideal for creating self-portraits and for wildlife photography, and can help prevent camera shake during remote shutter release. Use with the Nikon D40/D40X, Nikon D70/ D70s, Nikon D80 cameras.

| Underwater Housing |
 |
-
The underwater housing fits the camera like a glove. This makes it hard to fit a sachet of silica gel in with the camera.
-
The sachet of silica gel is necessary because of the heat the battery and the internal flash produce.
-
This heat cannot find a way out of the polycarbonate housing and will eventually condensate. Moist and condense is a killer for digital cameras so you need this sachet with silica gel to absorb the damp. |

| USB Memory Sticks |
 |
USB memory sticks are used like diskettes for storing and transfering data.
The stick is plugged to the computer through a USB connector, which may be found on all computers which have been released during this millennium. The USB port is a flat, rectangular socket usually found in the every computer system for data transfer.
